Combating elderly isolation with CovConnet

It has been a life changing experience for the elderly, as Settlement Support CIC embarks on the journey to combat loneliness and isolation among older adults (those 55 and over). With the help of Covconnect Digitals, the organisation has provided Amazon Echo and Show devices, which will greatly assist the elderly in finding companionship and escaping boredom through features like voice-activated home assistance, medication reminders, entertainment and education, daily routine assistance, and much more.

On February 18, 2024, at United Life Chapel on 40 Armfield Street, CV6 7GE in Coventry, Settlement Support CIC officially inaugurated the project by presenting six (6) senior persons who were 55 years of age or older with Amazon Echo and Show gadgets.

Co-founder Mr. Kofifolson gave a brief speech about the organisation and how it has impacted the lives of numerous Black and African immigrants in the UK. He also discussed the project's importance and how it will improve the lives of elderly individuals.

Afterwards, Co-founder Byron Taylor unveiled the gadgets that brought delight to the hearts of individuals across the targeted age range. This accomplishment serves as a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful experiences for everyone.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Covconnect Digitals and the City Council for their support in making these projects a reality. As Settlement Support CIC moves forward, we are excited to embark on even more transformative initiatives that will positively impact the lives of those we serve.
